My name is Arnoud Versteden, I have been working for Konecranes since 1992 and have worked in the crane industry for my entire career since 1986. Training in business leadership combined with the High professional education in mechanical engineering and control technology are extremely useful to me in my daily work. After various management positions within Konecranes in crane modernizations, services and Ports, I am now active in the BeNeLux sales of industrial cranes within the process industry and heavy duty applications.

In addition to extensive experience in the field of modernizations, design life analysis and other more complicated technical questions, I have also gained a lot of knowledge and experience in automation of cranes for the Waste-to-Energy and Biomass industry, Powerhouse, Steel Industry, Paper Industry and Shipbuilding. It is important to understand the customer's processes in order to provide good advice and, above all, to propose the right solution. The guiding principles I use is to always provide the right, reliable technology for the environment in which the crane has to operate. Listening to the customer and asking the right questions are key to a successful project.

SMARTON® open winch crane

The Konecranes SMARTON is a crane with open winch work for heavy applications with a lifting capacity from 6.3 tons to 250 tons with one trolley and 500 tons with two trolleys. Usage class from M3 to M8 (CMAA Class A-F). The true power of this crane lies in its standardization and intelligence. The crane concept has been specially developed for assembly and maintenance work and is therefore extremely suitable for safe and accurate positioning of heavy and expensive loads.
